Friday 8th,Nov was a great night for Khanga lovers and the Tanzanian
fashion industry in general. Thanks to Designer Asya Idarous who
organized this event,we saw various designs from Tanzanian talents like
Lucky Creations,Khadija Mwanamboka,Hamid Abdul,Paka Wear,.etc
Let's
just say,it was quite a runway show! Celebrity models mixed with the
mainstream models that we have seen on various fashion events...
Designers used their creativity to bring the khanga material into full life
Aaaaahem...yes,Aunt Asya made sure i walked that runway too...
Shilole...
And the sensation of the night was....Bibi Bomba 2013!

The
guest of Honor was Mama Asha Bilal,the wife to the Vice President of
Tanzania.She stressed the importance of using our local khanga in
various designs and even broadening the usage..
She also handed Certificates of appreciation to all sponsors...
