Lady Gaga arrived at the 2014 MusiCares Person Of The Year Honoring
Carole King on Friday (January 24) in Los Angeles, California.
Joining both Miley Cyrus and Rihanna in toning down the theatrics on the
red carpet, Lady Gaga wore a stunning Alexis Mabille Spring 2014
Couture gown.
She styled her white keyhole gown featuring a pleated bodice and
bejewelled waistband with metallic leather silver pumps and circular
shades.
Is this her best red carpet look yet?
I would rank it in the top three. I’m floored by this gown.
She's famous for flaunting her incredibly toned figure in a nearly endless stream of skimpy outfits.
But Rihanna took it a step further on Saturday night as she wore a gown
that threatened to expose more than she bargained for at the Pre-Grammy
gala in Los Angeles.
The 25-year-old narrowly avoided a wardrobe malfunction in the yellow dress, which barely clung to her smooth limbs.
It's said that wearing yellow in small doses gives the impression of optimism, brightness and cheerfulness.
Rihanna's not known for doing things subtly however, and so the singer
opted for a top to toe yellow look with a silky knot front dress from
Alexandre Vauthier's Spring/Summer 2014 couture collection.
Having been featured across knitwear, tailoring, outerwear and
accessories, yellow is being heralded as the colour of the season, and
was featured on the Spring/Summer 2014 runways at Prada, Paul Smith,
Roksanda Illincic and Jeremy Scott.
Sadly, yellow isn't a colour every one can work, and if you've got
blonde hair or pale skin or just have a penchant for too many spray
tans, this is just one look you're going to have to sit out. For those
of you with olive and dark complexions however, this is your time to
shine.
To wear yellow, avoid teaming with black for fear of looking like a
bumble bee, and instead opt for white, denim and pastel pieces, or wear
with metallic accessories like Rihanna.
Chrissy Teigen left little to the imagination in the bust department as she attended the Pre-Grammy gala in LA!
John Legend's other half wore a plunging mustard maxi dress, from Zuhair
Murad's Pre-Autumn/Winter 2013 collection, which she teamed with
metallic accessories and colour popping red lips.
Plunge front gowns like Chrissy's are the perfect red carpet look for
pear shaped figures, as they draw the eye up, boosting your bust and
balancing shapely hips. For a little extra coverage you could try going
40s style with a faux fur stole.
Luckily for us, the high street is brimming with plunge front gowns,
which are perfect for weddings and black tie events alike. Team them
with barely there strappy heels and simple accessories.
