as Lady Gaga exited a New York City rehearsal studio nose-forward on
Saturday wearing nothing but a lacy bra, it really just looked as though
something was missing.
The
27-year-old clung onto the arm of famed photographer Terry Richardson
as she strutted out to greet her fans in the frighteningly sheer
undergarment.
Not easy to miss: Lady Gaga does a good job of
drawing attention via her interesting ensembles and Saturday's choice of
a bra as an outer garment in New York City was no exception
Lady Gaga, who pioneered the idea of
wearing a bra as an outer garment a number of years ago, opted for a
black lace number on this occasion.
She also wore what looked to be a
swimming cap, which was in fact the same style of black cap she wore for
her Applause single cover shoot.
The singer evened things out with a conservative pair of black tailored trousers with a flattering high waist.

She slung a matching black blazer over her left shoulder but opted not to slip her right arm in.
Gaga instead used that arm to grip that of her friend Terry Richardson, a highly esteemed fashion photographer.
As the pair headed out to greet the
pop star's doting fans, she took to the well-trodden path with ease and -
at times - a slightly upturned nose.
Terry, in a modest but cool plaid shirt and Converse shoes, looked nervous.

Lady Gaga is always generous when it comes to donating her time to her fans, and Saturday was no exception.
She stopped to spend time with the snap-happy bunch who looked positively overjoyed to see their idol.

and particularly personal with one lucky guy's derriere, grabbing his
hips as she stood behind him.

enigmatic photos from her rehearsal on Saturday, in which she wore a
black ballerina outfit and stood in the middle of a group of her
identically-clad dancers.
Lady Gaga is preparing for her
performance at Sunday's MTV Video Music Awards, where she plans to open
the show with her latest offering, Applause.

Anxious about the ceremony, she told JustJared:
'I’ve been rehearsing all week and I’m so excited. It’s been incredible
dancing and singing again, doing all the things I love, so I’m having a
really good time.'
But the Poker Face hitmaker, who
recently snared more attention by starting a Twitter feud with celebrity
blogger Perez Hilton, refrained from revealing too many details.
Reiterating how much she enjoys the element of surprise, she said: 'You can’t really expect anything. I’m always trying to create something that the fans won’t expect.'
